1. The service
Kitchen Timer is a cooking countdown utility that provides preset and custom timers, background countdown notifications, sound, and vibration controls. The app is available through Google Play. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.
2. Acceptable use
You may use Kitchen Timer for personal or lawful commercial cooking activities. You must not misuse the app or website, attempt to disrupt or bypass their security, distribute malicious code, use automated systems to overload the service, or infringe the rights of others.
3. Safety and timer accuracy
Kitchen Timer is a convenience tool, not a safety-critical alarm, food-safety guarantee, or substitute for supervision and professional judgment. Device power management, notification settings, volume, battery level, operating-system behavior, force-closing, or hardware failure can delay or prevent an alert.
Always monitor active cooking, verify food safety with appropriate methods, and follow appliance and recipe instructions. Do not rely on Kitchen Timer where a missed or inaccurate alert could cause injury, fire, property damage, foodborne illness, or other serious harm.
4. Advertising and third-party services
The app may display ads delivered by Google AdMob and its advertising partners. Those services may be subject to additional Google terms and privacy practices. External links, Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, networks, and advertising services are operated by third parties; we do not control and are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices.
5. Intellectual property
The Kitchen Timer name, app design, website content, graphics, and software are owned by or licensed to Kitchen Timer and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app as provided through its authorized distribution channel. They do not transfer ownership or permit you to copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works except where applicable law expressly allows it.
6. Availability, updates, and compatibility
We do not promise that the app or website will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or Android version. Updates may be required for continued use. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, network access where needed for ads or external links, and appropriate device settings.
7. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kitchen Timer and the website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost data, profits, food, opportunities, or property arising from your use of or inability to use Kitchen Timer. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
9. Changes and termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may restrict access where these terms are materially violated or where necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties. We may update these terms from time to time; the revised date will appear above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent allowed by law.
10. General terms and contact
